Thank you so much for that information - just what I was looking for. And also thanks generally for everything you've done for me in relation to this position. I've had dealings with quite a few recruitment agencies over the last few months and Real Recruitment have been unique in so many ways. I don't know if you want feedback, but I have a lot of positive things to say.
Firstly, you were the only group to recognise my own lack of conviction in why I wanted to work in media agencies, and then go on to suggest possible alternatives based on what you'd learned about me from my CV and registration form. Other agencies utterly failed to build up any kind of accurate profile, instead half-heartedly suggesting a few wildly unsuitable positions and then never contacting me again.
When I came in to your office, I was particularly impressed by the extremely professional, yet honest and friendly way Charlotte interviewed me. Interviewers at other agencies had verged from clueless to ultra-severe, down to personally insulting! With Real, I left the registration meeting feeling that I had already taken my first steps to a fulfilling career and that my application was in safe hands. The fact that you had secured an interview for me within twenty four hours of my registration was very impressive indeed!
When Kay took over my case, so to speak, I found her advice especially helpful and encouraging. I went into the first and second round interviews feeling very well prepared, meaning I could concentrate
much more closely on being confident, energetic and enthusiastic. After the interviews I received frequent and detailed updates on Emap's decision, and this continued even after I received an offer, especially this week when my contract situation has been unclear.
I feel I should also mention how helpful Samme was in Kay's absence - it seems to me that your close working relationships are particularly beneficial for your candidates. If I have ever had an issue, nothing has been too much trouble for Real and I am boundlessly grateful to you for helping me out when I was starting to lose hope! I have passed your details on to a friend who is looking for work and I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone in a similar position.
